Svartzonker Sweden's enormously popular Black Series – The Horizon rods is now available so you can build one yourself and put your own personal touch on the rod.

The package includes thread, guides, winding cheek, handle, reel seat, blank and cloth bag.

What you also need to be successful with your rod building is a good epoxy/varnish. We recommend you to use Z-poxy 30 miniute. It's a super good allround epoxy that cures quickly, is durable and vibration-resistant, ie it's "flexing" well, which is a must when building rods.


You also need a tape, a signature pen, small brushes for the lacquering of the guides, a mixer can, a blade knife and protective equipment such as disposable gloves, apron and protective mask.

Try coloring the epoxy with different highlights or glitter for a cool, personal effect.

Here are the measurements for the location of the guides to get optimal action on your rod. The measure are from the top guide and down the handle:
